1. Production

From January to December 2019, among the main products of the China battery manufacturing industry, the output of lithium-ion batteries was 15.72 billion, a year-on-year increase of 4.0%. The output of lead-acid batteries was 202.486 million kVAh, a year-on-year increase of 4.0%. The output of primary batteries and original battery packs (non-button type) was 40.06 billion, a year-on-year increase of 3.7%.

In December, the output of lithium-ion batteries of China was 1.62 billion, a year-on-year increase of 9.4%. The output of lead-acid batteries was 21.573 million kVA, a year-on-year increase of 13.1%. The output of primary cells and primary battery packs (non-button) was 3.72 billion , an increase of 6.8% year-on-year.

2. Benefits

From January to December 2019, the operating income of battery manufacturing enterprises above designated size nationwide was 816.53 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.6%, and the total profit realized was 34.41 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 27.3%.
