1. Production

From January to April 2020, among the main products of the China battery manufacturing industry, the output of lithium-ion batteries was 4.15 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 5.4%. The output of lead-acid batteries was 60.753 million kVA, a year-on-year decrease of 2.0%. The output of primary batteries and primary battery packs (non-buckle type) was 10.74 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 14.4%.

In April, Chinese output of lithium-ion batteries was 1.42 billion, a year-on-year increase of 16.3%. The output of lead-acid batteries was 19.374 million kVA, a year-on-year increase of 18.7%. The output of primary cells and primary battery packs (non-button) was 3.37 billion , an increase of 1.1% year-on-year.

2. Benefits

From January to April 2020, the operating income of battery manufacturing enterprises above designated size nationwide was 190.61 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 13.5%, and the total profit realized was 5.21 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 19.5%.
